Coos Bay Man Sentenced To Federal Prison


A Coos Bay Man was sentenced to Federal Prison for Distribution of Methamphetamines and Unlawful Possession of Sawed-Off Shotguns. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives learned that 36-year-old Theron Gilbert Gerber of Coos Bay was selling firearms and methamphetamines in March of 2019. On April 4th, 2019, an undercover ATF agent met with Gerber to purchase a firearm. The agent saw drug paraphernalia and approximately 20 to 25 firearms displayed after entering the home. The agent met with and purchased firearms and methamphetamine on three occasions in April from Gerber. ATF agents executed a search warrant on Gerber and arrested him at his residence on April 25th. Gerber pled guilty to one count each of Unlawful Possession of a Short-Barreled Firearm and distribution of methamphetamine.
