Coos Bay Timberlands Hunter Access Update.

The Weyerhaeuser Millicoma Tree Farm is closed to all public vehicle access, but will be open for any walk in recreational activity, including hunting, on weekends only. Weyerhaeuser properties in the Bay View district and Seven Devils are closed to All public access at this time.

Starting August 1st, there will be a new access policy at the Coos Bay Operations. Access to most lands in the Coos Bay Tree Farm will require a recreation permit or lease
which will be available on-line only. The web site is and should be operational May 19th

Millicoma Permits:

A maximum of 1000 permits will be sold at Coos Bay. Permits cost $350. These permits will be available for purchase Wednesday, June 25th at 6pm. One permit covers
legally married spouses and children and grandchildren age 18 and under. Permit holders will have access (including motorized access) 7 days per week from August 1st, 2014 to
July 31st, 2015 to ~157,000 acres Entry starts 1-1/2 half hours before sunrise and ends 1-1/2 hours after sunset. Weyerhaeuser still reserves the right to close the tree farm in times of high fire danger.

Coos Bay Tree Farm Leases

There will be five recreational lease areas available. A recreational lease allows EXCLUSIVE recreational use of a property for you and your select group. Maps of the lease areas will be available on the web site by May 19th. You will be able to bid on the leases until June 30th at 7pm. BEFORE you bid on a lease, carefully REVIEW the lease info on the web page so that you fully understand how a lease works.
