Coos Bay Work Session Narrows Road Options for 4th Street

Coos Bay City Councilors and URA Commissioners will meet for a joint Work Session tonight to discuss 4th Street Road Improvements in downtown.  Public input has been sought at meetings for several months. Three options for 4th Street from Market Street to Golden Avenue, near the Post Office, have been drafted.  They include different lane configurations, parallel parking and improving pedestrian safety.  Some options would reduce vehicle travel lanes, add a center turn lane, create bolder crosswalk striping. The council will narrow the list to three tonight.  The meeting starts at 5:30 at the Fire Station Conference Room.
