Coos Health and Wellness and Western Oregon Advanced Health held an Open House Today


Coos Health and Wellness and Western Oregon Advanced Health held a ribbon cutting and grand opening earlier today for their new building in Coos Bay. Coos Health and Wellness was formerly in the Annex in North Bend.  Coos Health and Wellness is the largest department in the County said Coos County Commissioner, John Sweet, who gave a speech during their Grand Opening.  Senator Arnie Roblan, Representative Caddy McKeown, and Coos Bay Mayor Joe Benetti, also gave speeches during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Western Oregon Advanced Health moved into their new building off La Clair street in Coos Bay in November announced today a name change. They also unveiled a new simpler logo. According to CEO, Phil Greenhouse many things will be looking up for Advanced Health. The agency will begin demolition of the former McCauley Hospital. The site will house another campus. There will also be an apartment built across the street to house hospital residents under the Oregon Health and Science University’s rural rotations program.
