Dance At Bay Area Senior Center

The South Coast Folk Society will hold their monthly First Saturday contra dance on January 7th at the Bay Area Senior Activity Center. It starts at 7pm at 886 South Fourth Street (at Ingersoll) in Coos Bay. No experience or partner is needed to enjoy contra dancing, a traditional American style of social dancing to lively music. There is a beginner’s lesson at 7 that will teach everything you need to know. This is an alcohol and fragrance-free event. All ages are welcome. Local musicians Cultural Ecology will play and Myrtle Point caller Karen Olsen will teach every dance. Admission is $7, $6 student/senior and $5 for South Coast Folk Society members.
