District Seek Public Input on School Name

The Coos Bay School District is looking for community input in the naming of the new Junior High school that will be built on the current site of the Harding Learning Center. Voters approved a Bond Measure in May that will fund construction.  The public’s input is being sought before the School Board names the building. Former names include the Harding School for first through sixth, Harding Junior High School and Marshfield Junior High School. Suggestions must be made by January 11th.  The new school will be built after the demolition of the current building and will house 7th and 8th grade students.
