FERC Approves LNG Project For Permitting Process

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given the Jordan Cove Energy Export Project to move through the federal permitting process.   Last week, Boost Southwest Oregon posted a release from Jordan Cove that its pre-filing application was approved.  Part of the project includes siting a liquefied natural gas export facility on Coos Bay’s North Spit and a Pacific Connector Pipeline project. Boost supporters say the project will bring hundreds of millions of dollars in payments and tax revenue for Coos, Douglas, Jackson and Klamath counties. Jordan Cove officials are working with FERC on scheduling open houses for public interaction. For more information, visit jordancovelng.com
