Fire Danger Still In Effect

The Coos Forest Protective Association says fire danger remains moderate, despite recent rains.  The agency says rains can help conditions in area forests, however they do not alleviate the area of fire danger. Fire fuels remain tinder dry and must be super saturated to ensure they will not ignite. Under the moderate blue designation, forest users can only smoke and have campfires in designated locations. Use of power saws and mowers are allowed between 1pm and 8pm daily. Vehicles should not be used off improved roads at any time.  For information on unincorporated area regulated use, visit www.coosfpa.net. For information on restrictions within the city limits, contact your local fire department.
