Free Events At Coos Bay Library

The Coos Bay Library will be holding a FREE brown bag local author panel. Four local authors will present their work before opening the floor to questions. Authors will then be available to sell and sign their books. This event will be held on Saturday, June 28th from 12pm to 2pm in the Myrtlewood Room at the library and is open to the public. Award-winning author, John Noland, will share from his many works of poetry and nonfiction. Nina Foran Gee will present her book on the life cycle of salmon, Springer’s Quest. Artist and entrepreneur, Kat Cunningham, will showcase Kat’s 9 Lives, a memoir chronicling her journey of “learning and letting go” decision making. Rebecca Gertner will discuss the novels in her The Strength to Stand series as well as her devotional work, Unstoppable Truth. Come enjoy some literature and bring your lunch.

The library is also offering a monthly job assist computer labB. The lab will be held on Friday, June 27th starting at 9:15am. Looking for work? Filing unemployment? Need access to computer software for creating resumes & cover letters? Want assistance filling out an online application? For admittance, you must be at the front doors of the library by 9:15am. There will be no lecture but instructors will be available if you need assistance, run into problems, or have questions. Prerequisite: You must be doing something work related.
