Fugitive in Brookings-area Shooting Sought by FBI


A man wanted in connection with a Brookings area shooting remains at large and the FBI is asking for your help. The FBI issued a warrant for 36-year-old Lucas Randall DeYoung of Washington with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. DeYoung is wanted in connection with December shooting at a storage unit. The victim reportedly survived. DeYoung has been charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder. Other charges include Attempted Murder, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Manufacture of Marijuana. He is considered armed and dangerous.  DeYoung is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his back and right shoulder and a scar on his left finger. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call their local FBI office or the Curry County Sheriff’s Office.
