June 7 at 5:00 PM – First Friday Wine Walk in Coos Bay. Start your wine tasting adventure in Coos Bay at the Visitors Information Center in downtown, grab your map and enjoy! Smoky Sliders on the Green Mountain Grill at Marshfield Bargain House!

June 7 at 5:30 PM – Open Mic Jam at Orcoast Music Annex, 757 Newmark in Coos Bay. Hear great music from local musicians at this break out multi talented jam session.

June 8 at 9:00 AM – Powers Town Wide Garage Sale and Powers 23rd Annual Fishing Derby at Powers County Park starting at 8:00 AM. Current license required for derby.

June 8 11 AM to 3 PM – North Bend Library Used Book Sale. You’ll find tables packed with a great selection of bargain books, videos, and more.

June 8 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM – Walmart Show and Shine to benefit Children’s Miracle Network. Registration begins at 8:00 AM, $15 per car. Show starts at 9:00 AM and Awards at 2:00 PM open to the public! 50/50 Raffle, Food, Music by K-DOCK and cool cars!

June 8 at 10:00 AM – Bear Claw’s 5k Your Way Run, Walk, Jog to benefit the Pancreatic Action Network and to honor local legend Jim “Bear Claw” Engelke. Registration begins at 9:00 AM in front of the SWOCC Book Store.

June 8 at 10:00 AM – Myrtle Point 3k Mud Run! Directions: Take OR-542 S/Powers Hwy for 10 miles and turn right onto Gaylord Rd. It will be clearly marked. Registration is at 9:00 AM, $15. Children 12 and older allowed. Get ready for the muddy tire crawl, giant slip and slide and a gooey wall climb. Download Registration Form

June 8 at 8:30 AM – Adult Fly-Fishing Workshop held at Laverne County Park. The workshop is designed for new and beginning fly fishers and will include sessions on equipment, casting, aquatic insects and reading the water. The class costs $42 and includes use of all necessary equipment, instruction/materials and lunch. June 8 and 9 – Dolphin Players present “Greater Tuna”. The production runs weekends throughout June, with Friday and Saturday performances at 8pm and Sunday performances at 2pm. Regular admission is $10, seniors and students are $8. For the June 8th performance only, admission will be “Pay What You Can.” The Dolphin Playhouse is located at 580 Newmark in the Empire District.
