Georgia Pacific Workers Offered Help from Financial Institution

Northwest Community Credit Union is developing options for Coos Bay Georgia Pacific workers who are facing layoffs after the announcement of the plant closing last Thursday. Officials say this will be available for members and non-members of the Credit Union. Last Thursday, Coos Bay Georgia Pacific notified employees that the lumber mill will close, and all 111 workers will be laid off. NWCU officials say if you visit the North Bend Branch to bring proof of employment through the Coos Bay Plant and financial statements and documents that represent your current debt and obligations or to call 800-452-9515.
