Hauser Burglary Suspect Nabbed

Police have nabbed the suspect Social Media dubbed “Two Dollar Bill”. On June 8, police were alerted to a burglary that took place at a residence on Wildwood Road in Hauser. The victim had reported that $10,000 in cash and coins were taken from the home which included a large quantity of $2 dollar bills. During the investigation, deputies discovered the burglar entered through an open bathroom window. Interviews of local residents revealed that the burglar had offered $2 dollar bills for a ride into North Bend. One of the residents was able to give a description of the burglar. The Sheriff’s Office released the information and photo of the suspect on Social Media. Calls came in immediately. Shortly after, the CCSO identified and arrested 37 year-old Michael W. Jones for committing the crime. Jones told deputies he was relieved they arrested him and confessed to the alleged crime. The CCSO would like to thank the public for their help in the investigation. Jones was charged with Burglary and Aggravated Theft. He is being held in the Coos County Jail.
