Healthy Heart Classes Start In Bandon

February is Heart Health Month and to celebrate, OSU Extension Family & Community Health is offering a free 2-hour heart-healthy workshop. This comprehensive strategy session will provide easy and practical tips for lowering cholesterol and reducing your risk for heart disease. Attendees will learn about the progression of the number one killer of Americans, and what you can do to improve risk. The workshop is taught by Stephanie Polizzi, Registered Dietitian and Certified Health Education Specialist.

Class will be held at Bandon Community Library conference room on Monday, February 11th from 6 to 8:30pm. If you can’t make this class, Healthy Hearts will be repeated on February 12th at the Coos County Extension office in Myrtle Point from 1 to 3:30, again at the Community Health Education Center on Sherman Ave in Coos Bay on Feb 13th from 1 to 3:30, and a full heart health day at the Chetco Activity Center in Brookings on February 15th beginning at 9am.
