The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Wind Warning. In effect from 7 AM to 4 PM Thursday.

* Winds: South 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Gusts up to 70 mph are possible at capes, headlands, and other exposed areas.

* Timing: Winds will increase through Thursday morning, reaching a peak early Thursday afternoon.

* Locations include: The southern Oregon coast from Cape Arago to the south, including Bandon, Cape Blanco, Port Orford, Gold Beach, Brookings, and exposed areas of Highway 101.

* Impacts: Travel may become difficult or hazardous, especially for lightweight and high profile vehicles. Loose outdoor objects or materials could get blown about. Tree damage and power outages are possible.
