Jeffrey Boyce Found Hanging in Jail Cell

A North Bend man accused of killing a California woman in Winchester Bay in April then fleeing to California was found hanging in his cell in Marin County California after an apparent suicide. According to reports, 30 year-old Jeffrey Boyce had attempted suicide at least one time before. Oregon State Police identified Boyce as a primary suspect in the April killing of 56 year-old Kirsten Englund of Castro Valley California. Englund’s body was found in blackberry bushes just south of Winchester Bay. According to police Boyce fled the scene and was arrested the following day in California on carjacking charges.
