Kingsview Christian School Newest COVID-19 Outbreak

Kingsview Christian School has reported two COVID-19 cases to Coos Health and Wellness. Officials with CHW say the school is running on a cohort schedule where classes are in smaller groups and do not intermingle with different classes. Everyone at the school has been contacted by school officials. Oregon Health Authority guidelines classifies a school outbreak as two or more positive cases.

Coos Health and Wellness is also reporting two new COVID-19 cases and one presumptive bringing their total to 17 active cases, 44 presumptive and a total of 117 positive. Of the two positive cases one was moved from the presumptive list while the other has no link to another case and is a high exposure to others. The presumptive case is still being investigated but is linked to a known case. Coos County currently has over 150 cases they are monitoring that have been in close contact with presumptive and positive cases. Coos County does not have any current hospitalizations and has zero deaths.
