Learn About Fly Fishing At The Expo February 25th In Reedsport

The Lower Umpqua Flycasters, a local member Club of the Federation of Fly Fishers will be holding their 22nd annual Fly Fishing Expo at the Reedsport High School Cafeteria, South 22nd Street, Reedsport from 9am to 4pm on February 25th.  Special features include demonstrations and programs on various aspects of fishing, fly tying and fly casting; equipment displays, informational displays by various stream and fish enhancement groups,  a concession stand with meals and snacks available, and raffle drawings each hour all day.  There will be special programs,  including “Fly Fishing for Salmon and Steelhead” at 11am by Cam Perry; “Fly Fishing in the Pacific Northwest” at 1pm by Michael T. Williams; and “Tips and Tricks to Fishing Still-Waters” at 2pm by Phil Haeger.  This is the only event of its kind on the south and central Oregon coast.  The Expo is totally free to the public as the purpose of the Expo is to promote conservation and introduce the sport of fly fishing to adults and young children.
