Nelson Enters Plea In Triple Murder Case

The man who was accused of causing the death of three women in June, 2013 has entered a plea. According to a press release from Coos County District Attorney R. Paul Frazier, Edward Lawrence Nelson has entered a plea of guilty in the courtroom of Judge Richard Barron on November 6th. Nelson pled guilty to intentionally causing the deaths of Renae Cottam, Katherine Nelson and Lola Cottam on June 15th, 2013. As a part of the plea agreement, Nelson agreed to a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole on each count consecutive to each other. Sentencing has been set for December 16th.
