OSP Reports Only DUI’s Over Holiday; No Fatalities

Preliminary information indicates that no known reported traffic fatalities in Oregon occurred during the 30-hour Fourth of July holiday reporting period between 6pm Tuesday, July 3rd, and Midnight, Wednesday, July 4th. According to the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System, since 1970 there has only been one other fatality-free Fourth of July holiday, and that occurred 33 years ago in 1979.
