Port Of Coos Bay Promotes Wall To COO

The Oregon International Port of Coos Bay has promoted Kathy Wall to Chief Operating Officer. Wall served previously for two years as the Harbormaster, overseeing of the Port’s Charleston Marina complex operations. In her new position, Wall will continue to have oversight responsibility for Charleston operations while she expands on her role as primary liaison between the Port, the Army Corps of Engineers, the private marine terminal operators, the Coos Bay Rail Link and other community stakeholders. She will also prioritize and assign work, develop and implement Port operations and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures. During the past six years, Wall has worked as the Government & Environmental Affairs Manager and Charleston Harbormaster, with duties including management of the Charleston Marina & Launch Ramp, the Charleston Marina RV Park and Shipyard. Wall was also part of the team that pursued economic development and marketing of industrial and marine industrial properties. Wall replaces David Koch, who took over as the Port’s Chief Executive Officer in June 2012.
