Public’s Assistance Requested in Animal Abuse Case

The Coos County Animal Control is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a cat carrier found in the water near the Lakeside County Park Boat Ramp.  On May 2nd, Animal Control received a call from a citizen that pulled a pet carrier out of the water and found three dead puppies inside. When Animal Control arrived, the carrier was sitting on the dock. The Animal Control Officer saw the deceased puppies were a small breed with long hair, around three to four months old. If you have information regarding the incident you are asked to contact Animal Control at 541-751-2480.
