Relay For Life Is Roundin’ Up A Cure

Raising funds for the American Cancer Society starting on June 21st. The theme for this year’s Relay For Life of Coos Bay and North Bend is Roundin’ Up A Cure. Its all starts with a Survivor Lunch at 11am on June 21st inside the Sunset Middle School cafeteria.

The Opening Ceremony starts at 1pm which is followed by the Survivors Lap. Sometimes the lap is the victory–for cancer survivors, each day, month and year are victories. Then, when the sun goes down, at about 10pm, hundreds of Luminaria (votive candles placed inside decorated white bags) will light the track in honor of those who have faced cancer, those who have survived and to remember those who have lost.

And since cancer never sleeps, the Relay For Life of Coos Bay and North Bend is an overnight event that ends on June 22nd at 8am with a Closing Ceremony. Join a team now by visiting
