Road Closure In Reedsport Due To Chip Sealing

A contractor retained by the city of Reedsport will be chip sealing 22nd street from Highway 101 south, past Arthur Drive. From Monday, July 17th through Friday, July 21st, chip sealing operations will involve road cleaning, the application of adhesive type oil and of gravel and vacuum brooming. When completed, this will increase the life of the road at a much reduced cost. The city of Reedsport advises that road closures for all side streets will be set up on Monday, July 17th and in effect for the duration of the project.
As a result of this construction, no access onto 22nd street will be available until operations are completed. If necessary, accommodations can be made via the city and contractor to allow driveway access. However, it is encouraged for residents who access their homes via driveways on 22nd street to park on side streets if possible as drive access will delay contractor operations.
