COOS COUNTY SHERIFF NARRATIVE: On 26 Aug, 2013 at about 12:18 PM, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle roll over crash on Libby Lane about half way between Charleston and Coos Bay.

Upon arrival the Deputy found several people standing around a blue Mazda RX-6 sedan on its top along the north shoulder of Libby Lane at about mile post 3.5.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle was operated by Catrina Holt, 22 years old of Charleston.  Passengers inside her vehicle were three juveniles, age 1,10 and 14.  All four were treated on the scene by Charleston Fire and medical responders then transported to Bay Area Hospital for medical care.  At this point it appears that Ms. Holt was traveling west bound on Libby Lane when she lost control of her 1990 Mazda sedan where the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and then flipped on its top. The roadway had to be closed for about 45 minutes to traffic both ways. The vehicle was removed by Mast Bros. Towing.

The one year old male was released shortly after.  The ten year old was admitted to Bay Area Hospital for observation.  The fourteen year old female was admitted into intensive care at Bay Area Hospital.  Ms. Holt was treated for minor injuries and later released.

The crash remains under investigation by Coos County Sheriffs Office.
