– – Other ways you can donate to the K-DOCK Rotary Bus Jam:
SWOCC’s “Van Jam” challenges faculty and students to stuff a vehicle on campus. The main event takes place the week before Bus Jam (this year Nov. 28th – Dec. 3rd). The food is then trucked to one of the bay area Bus Jam locations. Food challenge efforts begin early however when Fall Term begins.
Auto Dealer Challenge: Honda World, Ken Ware Chevrolet, Coos Bay Toyota, Jim Vick and Tower Ford invite their patrons to bring a toy to vote for their favorite dealer or make of vehicle. These local dealers have supported the program for several years.
Medical professional challenge: North Bend Medical Centers (Coos Bay), Bay Clinic, Bay Eye Clinic and Bay Optical & Pacific Coast Medical Park VS. Bay Area Hospital and Coquille Valley Hospital. Officials say they see the need in the community day in and day out. They hope the effort will make a difference for the most vulnerable of our population… our children.
