Zombies! Run For Your Lives At John Topits Park!

Zombie Run

What kind of endurance do you have? Test your preparedness skills at the 2nd Annual Zombie Run on Saturday, June 29th from 12 Noon to 4pm. This will be a 2k fun run through the trails at John Topits Park in Coos Bay. This year organizers have added obstacles to make the challenge a bit more fun.

Racers must make strategic choices to find the quickest route to the finish line wearing a belt with life flags. Zombies can lay in wait along the race route for their potential victims (the runners) or chase them and grab their life flags. This is a family friendly event with lots of fun, mud, “blood” and laughs for a great cause, to benefit the American Cancer Society! The cost is $10 for a Runner and $5 for a Zombie, $5 for a Zombie makeover and $15 for and official T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for fastest survivors and the zombie with the most flags collected.

Participants must sign a waiver to participate (under the age of 18 requires guardian signature). Cash and credit cards will be accepted at registration on the day of the event. Parking and registration will be at the Oregon National Guard Armory at 255 Norman Avenue, Coos Bay. Registration begins at 12pm and the race starts at 1pm. Prepare to run for your lives!
