Seminar On Changes In Oregon Employment Laws


On Friday, September 29th, the South Coast Oregon Employer Council will host “Oregon Sick Time Update and New Employment Laws”—a seminar presented by The Bureau of Labor and Industries Technical Assistance for Employers Unit. This seminar is targeted toward human resources personnel, business owners, managers and front line supervisors who have employees working in Oregon.
 
In this session, the Technical Assistance for Employers trainer will cover updates to the Oregon Sick Time law and new employment laws passed during the 2017 Legislative session. Topics will include Equal Pay, Fair Work Week and changes to daily and weekly overtime for certain employees. This interactive presentation will include tips and best practices for employers and allow time for group discussions.
 
How to Register: The seminar will be held on Friday, September 29th at the South Coast Education Service District, 1350 Teakwood, Coos Bay. Check-in starts at 7:45am and the seminar presentation runs from 8am until Noon. Seminar registration is open to the public—seminar registration fee is $69 per person.
