***TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2018***

6:00AM – Lighthouse School is on a delayed start this morning due to power outage. School will begin at 11:00 AM.


If you see downed wires call 911 immediately and report it. Do not get near or attempt to drive over the downed wire. Power outages can be for long periods of time, consider putting together an outage pack that is easy to get to and has at least the following:

* Flashlight
* Battery-operated radio and clock
* Extra batteries
* Non-perishable foods
* Manual can opener
* Bottled water
* Blankets

If you do have a power outage do not call 911, instead call your electric provider.

Authorities are reporting trees down, standing water on roadways and power outages throughout Coos County as the third round of a series of storms batter Coos County.

As of 6:00am Pacific Power is reporting that more than 4,607 people are without power.

Central Lincoln PUD which serves north of the Mc Cullough Bridge reporting around 257 without power and

Coos Curry Electric is reporting 4 affected by the storm.

The High Wind Warning for today is expected to continue through 4:00pm this afternoon with another storm expected around Thursday. The National Weather Service is saying we should expect wind gusts today from 60 to 80 miles per hour.

Loyal K-DOCK listeners are reporting trees down throughout Coos County mostly on the coast route through Cape Arago.
