Single Vehicle Crash Kills Two People And Pet Dog Near North Bend

UPDATE FROM OSP: Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into a late Tuesday night single vehicle crash along Highway 101 about 5 miles north of North Bend, Oregon, which resulted in the death of both of the vehicle’s occupants and a dog. 

According to Oregon State Police Sgt. Josh Young of the Coos Bay Area Command, On November 6th, 2012 at 11:20 p.m. a 1993 Ford Ranger pickup driven by JOHN W. SUITER age 32 from Lakeside, OR was northbound on Hwy 101 at MP 227.5 when for an unknown reason SUITER crossed over to the southbound lanes and then left the highway and proceeded northbound down the southbound shoulder where it eventually rolled onto its passenger side and caught fire. 

Both SUITER , the front right passenger – ANDREA A. BELCHER age 23 from Lakeside, OR – and a pet dog were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The use of safety restraints is unknown at this time.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office, North Bend Police Dept., Hauser Fire Dept., Lakeside Fire Dept., Bay City Ambulance, OSP Roseburg and ODOT
