Suspects Missing After High Speed Pursuit In Stolen Truck

A North Bend Police unit saw a vehicle on Highway 42 late Thursday night, August 10th, matching the description of a vehicle that was reported as stolen. It was described as a white Dodge four-by-four truck, stolen from the Greenacres area. The North Bend Police followed the truck and confirmed it was the stolen vehicle in question.
Police attempted a traffic stop near Lorain Avenue approaching the Bunker Hill area. When the police turned on their overhead lights, the truck immediately sped away, eventually traveling at speeds upwards of 90 mph as it approached Bunkerhill.
The stolen truck turned onto Newport Lane and sped towards the Eastside area. The pursuit ended when the suspect (or suspects) ditched the truck on the dead end of 6th Avenue. The vehicle came to a rest down a 40-foot embankment. Police used a canine to search the area but were unable to locate the suspect (s).
