Water Board: Glasgow Residents Shouldn’t Drink Water

Officials with the Coos Bay North Bend Water Board advise that customers in the Glasgow community, north of the McCullough Bridge, not to use the municipal water for drinking or cooking.

The Water Board has received several complaints about the quality of the water within the Glasgow community. The complaints have focused on a fuel-like odor from the water supply. Personnel from the Water Board are collecting samples, after which, the Glasgow system will be flushed and samples taken again.

This precautionary notice from the Water Board, not using the water for drinking or cooking, only affects customers in the Glasgow community.
