*** The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING in effect from 10pm tonight through 4am on Sunday. Heavy snow above 1500 feet. Expect 6 to 12 inches. 1 to 3 inches in valleys. 1 inch on the coast. Actual amounts of snow will vary on the coast. Warning Area includes all of Coos and Curry Counties.

***WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect from 4pm Saturday to 7am on Sunday below 1500 feet. Advisory are includes all of Coos County and Reedsport. Travel is expected to be difficult with slippery roads and wet slushy conditions. Roads will likely re-freeze and become icy Saturday night.

If you must travel, remember items like blankets, flashlight, food, water, medications and fully charged phone.

***BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT in effect tonight through Saturday night. Possible sneaker waves on the southwestern Oregon coast, Florence south to Point Saint George, with the greatest threat for west and northwest facing beaches.Sudden and unusually high beach run-up is possible. This can take beachgoers by surprise resulting in possible injury or drownings. Logs and other debris can become lifted and floated, increasing risk to those in or near the water.
