Woman Charged After Ramming North Bend Police Car


Officers from the North Bend Police Department were investigating suspicious activity on Maple Street around midnight on September 8th. The officer investigating the report was sitting in his vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Maple Street when 38-year-old Maria Buckley allegedly rammed the Police Vehicle. She was transported to the Coos County Jail by Oregon State Police on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, and 3rd Degree Attempted Assault of a Peace Officer. Authorities say her motive has not been determined. Buckley is scheduled to appear in the Coos County Circuit Court.
