Yarbrough In Custody, Held On Bail


Information was provided to police on June 23rd regarding the possible location of 38-year-old Jay Kenneth Yarbrough. The information suggested that Yarbrough was at a camp site in the Powers area. As the Coos Bay Police Department was obtaining the information, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office was receiving similar information. Deputies encountered a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle Yarbrough had been previously associated with. The vehicle was found leaving the camp site area and being driven on the Powers Highway. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and Yarbrough was found to be a passenger. Yarbrough was taken into custody without incident as well as the driver, 49-year-old Tina Rossback of Coos Bay.

Yarbrough and Rossback were taken to the Coos County jail. Yarbrough is being charged with Fourth Degree Domestic Assault, a Felony, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Reckless Endangering, Possession and Manufacturing of a Destructive Device, and Possession of a Hoax Destructive Device, Unlawful Possession of Short-Barreled Firearms, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).
Rossback was charged with Hindering Prosecution.

Yabrough and Rossback are both being held on $25,000 bail.
